The consignment entrusted by the Consignor to G Reecon / Greecon International is strictly on an “SAID TO CONTAIN” basis, i.e., G Reecon /GRI shall be under no obligation and is not expected to verify the description and contents of the products declared by the Consignor on the consignment note.
Customer undertakes that the cargo contains none of the following banned commodities:
1. Currency, liquids & semi-liquids, pornography, bullion, drugs and narcotics (illegal), firearms, parts thereof and ammunition, precious & semi-precious items, radioactive material, commodities banned by law at any given time.
2. Consignment that is likely to cause damage or delay to equipment, personnel or other consignments.
3. Any consignment that may require the carrier to obtain a license for its transportation.
The chargeable weight will be calculated as the maximum of actual weight or volumetric weight.
The weight will be rounded up to the next integer.
Minimum chargeable weight per consignment shall be 10 KG.
In case of discrepancy found by G Reecon in the weight declared by the consignor and the actual weight, the differential charges shall be collected from the parties.
Proper and complete documentation by the consignor/consignee is compulsory, along with accurate details of the shipper/receiver’s name, address, telephone numbers, email IDs, forms, permits, waybills, invoices, STN (Stock Transfer Note), etc. as per statutory requirements.
G Reecon /GRI shall not be responsible/liable in case of deficiency in the documents/statutory requirements and no claim or grievance of any nature shall be entertained arising from the same.
The consignors are solely responsible for all payments, fees or taxes levied by the government or any statutory body.
In case the consignment is held by statutory authority (e.g. GST, customs), G Reecon shall not be responsible for any consequential loss. The consignors shall make good the loss to G Reecon if any penalty is levied due to insufficient documents or wrongful declaration.
If the consignment is insured by G Reecon, liability is limited to the freight value or actual loss, whichever is lower.
If insured by the owner, the owner shall insure the products against all risks while in transit or under G Reecon's custody. G Reecon will assist in processing insurance claims.
If the consignment note is marked "Paid", the consignor pays at pickup.
If marked "To Pay", the consignee pays at delivery.
G Reecon will attempt delivery twice. If unsuccessful, the consignment will be returned to origin (RTO) and the consignor must pay Freight on Delivery (FOD).
If not accepted by the consignor within 15 days, G Reecon reserves the right to auction the consignment.
GST will be charged on total freight amount as per applicable rules.
G Reecon shall have a general lien over all consignments of parties toward any dues payable to G Reecon.
If the consignor requests warehousing for up to 7 days at G Reecon’s warehouse, a charge of Rs. 100/- per day will apply. After 7 days, the consignment will be RTO with applicable FOD.
G Reecon shall not be liable for loss/damage caused due to:
Acts of God
Inherent vice of goods
Faulty packaging by consignor
Government actions
Accidents, riots, strikes, political disturbances, fire, floods, explosions, robbery, etc.
The consignor undertakes to compensate G Reecon /GRI for any damage caused to other consignments due to wrongly declared or hazardous goods, or delays due to improper documentation.
The consignor shall ensure proper, commercially viable packaging. G Reecon will not be liable for damage due to poor or defective packaging.
Any dispute is Subject to Kolkata jurisdiction only.
